The coast of Uruguay to Cabo Polonio
Signing the rental papers our car was brought around front of the store. A bright red 2013 Geely we named "Lady Bug." What is a Geely you ask? It is a disposable car built in India with a 1 litre engine. It drives as nice as it sounds :| Our destination was Cabo Polonio, a hippie colony only accessible by 4x4 jeep. Humming our way over the grassy hills of Uruguay (being passed by school buses) we arrived at the "dune truck terminal."

Cute shacks
With no electricity or running water our only criteria for a shack was clean sheets. Settled in we walked the 10 steps to the beach to watch the sunset and the moon rise.
Moon rise
In our explorations the next day we hikes across scalding hot dunes, swam in the freezing waves and watched sea lions fight for females.
Sea lion colony
A sea lion swam up to the rock to check us out.
He then climbed the rock next to us to try and fight off another male for his female.
Other male and female.
Lovers
Taking the jeep back to the terminal we realized Lady bug had a dead battery :( We left the lights on.
Thanks for the jump!
